When the storms came, it did not flee.

Long ago, in the heart of the world, the earth was quiet, but the winds carried the stories of life and death, of change and peace. The turtle, ancient and wise, carried the weight of the world upon its back. It was said that the turtle had seen the birth of stars and the passing of empires, for it lived through cycles of life, never rushing, always steady.

The elders believed that the turtle’s shell contained the wisdom of the earth, each marking and swirl on its back telling a story of balance. The turtle knew that time moves in spirals, not lines. Just as the seasons return, the turtle, slow but steadfast, always found its way back to the same place.

In the stories passed down by the ancestors, the turtle was a symbol of endurance and wisdom. When the storms came, it did not flee. It dug deep into the earth, waited for the winds to settle, and emerged when the sun returned. The turtle’s journey reminded the people that growth takes time, that every step, no matter how small, is part of a grand and unbroken circle. It is not how fast one moves, but how deeply one roots into the land.

And so, the turtle became a symbol of resilience, teaching that every path, no matter how winding, leads to balance and peace.
