Each morning, while the sun still stretches behind a veil of mist,
the hive hums quietly to life.
No alarm, no command —
just the steady rhythm of instinct and purpose.
From within the hive, hundreds of worker bees take flight.
They carry no compass, no map,
yet they never lose their way.
Guided by sunlight and memory,
they find their way to the flowers freshly blooming with nectar.
With delicate tongues like silk threads,
they sip the sweetness of the earth,
storing it in a special honey stomach —
not for themselves, but for the hive.
One bee may visit hundreds of blossoms in a single trip,
gathering drop by drop,
as if collecting fragments of sunlight.
Upon return, the sharing begins —
a silent, sacred ritual.
Mouth to mouth,
each droplet is passed, enriched with enzymes,
fanned by countless wings
until it thickens into golden honey.
Then, it is sealed gently into perfect hexagons —
a promise preserved in wax.
A single bee, in its entire life,
will create less than 1/12 of a teaspoon of honey.
But they do not work alone.
Thousands labor as one —
not for praise,
but for something greater:
to feed, to sustain, to give.
Bees do not make honey to be admired.
They make it because it is who they are.
